 Academic Results

This report shows how much a school is improving from year to year based on its API.  A school’s API is a number that ranges from 200 to 1000 and is calculated from the results for each school’s students on statewide tests.  The state has set 800 as the API target for all schools to meet.  Click here for API history.

This report shows how well schools are meeting common standards of academic performance, as measured by whether the school or school district makes AYP. Required AYP targets increase yearly until 2013 - 2014 when all schools must have 100 percent of their students performing at or above the proficient level on statewide tests.

The purpose of the report card is to provide parents and the community with important information about each public school. A SARC can be an effective way for a school to report on its progress in achieving goals. The public may also use a SARC to evaluate and compare schools on a variety of indicators. Spanish version immediately follows English version.
