Principal's Message
Hello and welcome to Capri Elementary School, a two time California Distinguished School Award winner and a two time Golden Bell Award recipient. I am honored to be serving as the principal of such a remarkable school consisting of an outstanding Dual Language Immersion Program, amazing students, committed staff, supportive parents, and involved community members.
At Capri Elementary School, we work together to bring the very best learning experiences to every child. I am proud of our wonderful children, staff, and families, and look forward to working with you to make each day filled with successful learning for our students. As a staff, we remain focused on meeting the academic and social-emotional needs of every child. The mission of Capri is to provide each child with a nurturing environment and an academically challenging curriculum that promotes:

Our wonderful staff is dedicated to working collaboratively and their commitment to student success is what sets them apart from others. We will be dedicating our efforts this year to establish Grade Level Planning Time (GLP) to further develop our differentiation model which will focus on meeting the needs of all of our learners.
We also will place great emphasis on positive school climate and provide monthly spirit assemblies focusing on respect, responsibility, caring, trustworthiness, fairness, and citizenship through ‘Character Counts’ lessons.
When you visit our campus, I am sure you will agree that a sense of caring and high expectations is evident. There is a friendly atmosphere and strong sense of community on campus. Our families and community are an integral part of our school’s success. Parents can be found in countless classrooms, engaged in meaningful work. We encourage you to get involved with any of the invaluable committees already in action such as our School Site Council (SSC), Parent Teacher Association (PTA), Encinitas Education Foundation (EEF), and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC).
